Jerry Bruckheimer

Dr. Potamitis has laid out the way forward for this project: an exploration of the differences between genre of the films of a single director or within a single production studio in order to reduce the amount of factors that affect marketing differences: as he put it, examining films produced by four different directors, with four different studios and four different distributors from four different countries is not going to yield a surprising result in terms of differences in marketing.

Dr. Potamitis suggested an exploration of Bruckheimer's films and the variation between their marketing according to genre.

Website is http://www.jbfilms.com/.

Grouping recent films by genre (according to IMDB):

Deja Vu (2006) Action / Romance / Sci-Fi / Thriller
Pirates of the Caribbean (2006) Action / Adventure / Comedy / Fantasy
Glory Road (2006) Drama / Sport
Close to Home (2005) Drama
National Treasure (2004) Action / Adventure / Drama / Mystery / Thriller
King Arthur (2004) Action / Adventure / Drama / War
Veronica Guerin (2003) Biography / Crime / Drama / Thriller
Bad Boys II (2003) Action / Comedy / Crime / Thriller
Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl (2003) Action / Adventure / Comedy / Fantasy

Already we see a prominence of Action, Adventure, Drama, Crime and Thriller.
